Kai is a photographer based in Olympia, Washington State, in the beautiful Pacific Northwest region of the United States.

He has been lucky enough to also spend portions of his life in the mountains of Colorado and on the Big Island of Hawaii, but even those amazing locations couldn’t keep him from eventually returning to his roots, in the state where he was born and raised.

Kai has taught classes in digital photography and image processing, and enjoys teaching photography as much as he does practicing it. Focused mostly on nature, his images range from Hawaiian seascapes to the local bird species near his current home, along with anything else that catches his eye. He also enjoys more abstract photography using ICM (Intentional Camera Movement) to create impressionistic images using nature’s colors and textures.
